The Auckland Transgender Day of Remembrance took place on the corner of Queen and Customs Streets, Downtown.
Gender Bridge's Tom Hamilton and the Human Rights Commission's Jack Byrne spoke, then Sara Rose made her first-ever public singing appearance.
The Transgender Day of Remembrance takes place every November with events around the world to memorialise those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
